About Your IT Guy

Morgan Bonner has been in the IT field for 23 years and is A+/Microsoft/Apple/Google certified, as well as an experienced graphic designer and video producer. He was the author of the popular "The IT Guy" column published in the Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette newspapers in 2013-2014. He got his first computer - a Macintosh Plus - when he was 8 years old in 1986. Since then he has either owned or wanted to own every gadget he lays his eyes on.

A geek through and through, when he's not devouring the latest technology news or lusting after the newest smartphone he can be found quoting every Star Wars movie verbatim, telling anyone who will listen why Deep Space Nine was the best Star Trek series and standing in line for tickets to the next Marvel movie. He also bleeds the black and blue of his beloved Carolina Panthers (and is still irritated about Super Bowl 37 to say nothing of Super Bowl 50), the purple and teal of the Charlotte Hornets, the red and black of the Carolina Hurricanes and the orange and black of the Baltimore Orioles.
