Core Values

Proactive vs. Reactive IT

Running a small business is no easy feat—you’re juggling clients, deadlines, and the occasional unexpected crisis. The last thing you need is for technology to turn against you. Whether it’s a computer crash right before a big presentation or a sudden malware attack, reactive IT support is like patching a leaky roof during a rainstorm: it’s messy, stressful, and almost always too late. That’s where proactive IT management comes in—it’s the umbrella that keeps your business dry before the storm even starts.

Proactive IT management means taking charge of your technology’s health before problems arise. It’s about keeping systems secure, backups up-to-date, and software running smoothly. For example, it ensures your critical client files are backed up in real time so that a spilled coffee or a hard drive failure doesn’t grind your business to a halt, as well as regular updates for software and security patches—because nothing kills productivity faster than outdated programs causing crashes or compatibility issues.

And let’s not ignore the financial benefits. Fixing tech disasters after they occur can drain resources very quickly. Proactive IT saves money by reducing costly emergencies and extending the life of your equipment. It’s an investment in peace of mind, letting you focus on growing your business instead of battling preventable tech woes. Why wait for a meltdown when you can stay one step ahead? Building Relationships

I’m interested in developing personal relationships with my clients. A transactional relationship may work for some but that’s not my style - I’d rather get to know you and your company and have a vested interest in seeing both succeed.

Solutions…and Workarounds

Some IT problems don’t have immediate solutions - I can let Apple or Microsoft or Adobe know there’s a bug in their software but I can’t make them fix it. What I can do however is explain what the problem is, what the long term solution is, and then find a workaround in the meantime that lets you get back to business.
